Our policy will be to list any events or rides that come to our notice, that we feel might be of interest to our members.

5^th July - Blaenavon Pleasure Ride, (Offa’s Dyke group) at Whistle Inn, Wales . Plenty of cantering over open hills with fantastic views. An alteration has been made this year to the beginning of the route to avoid the 5 gates and initial short climb. Incorporates part of the National Cycle Network. (16km & 26km routes). Pub open all day. Non riding members can visit Big Pit National Coal   Museum within walking distance of the venue.  17th to 19th July, Ludlow. Click here for full details for Ludlow (Offa's Dyke group) Incorporating the Home International and Celtic Challenge. The route will be similar to 2008. One Vet Gate will be on Bircher Common, the other in the Forestry Car Park. None of the classes return to the racecourse until the end to avoid a second crossing of the A49 and trip through Hatton Estate with its forbidden verges. There is plenty of stabling, camping and corralling at the venue. Off venue stabling and B&B is also available. Classes from 30km to 160km over two days.

Very scenic, views of River Wye.  300m drop(s) and climb(s).  Mostly in Forestry Commission evergreen woodland.  Maid-up limestone forest tracks and routes of earth, grass, round gravel, earth/fixed rocks or tarmac. Classes from 26km to 67km

11th October, Brecon Beacons Pleasure ride (Sport Endurance)

 Venue - Tregoyd Mountain Riders, Three Cocks, Near Hay.  Map - OS  OL 13 197/378.  First Horse Starts 9.30 am. All horses away by 11.30 am.  Fastest horses first, please. 21, 25 & 34k.
